Bob Mortimerleft fans swooning after sharing a throwback picture of himself with his 'original teeth'.

The Gone Fishing BBC star, 65, shared the striking snap on Instagram, revealing that it was taken in 1990 when he would have been around 31.

He captioned the image: '1990 with original teeth.'

In the picture, a younger Bob is seen showing his teeth in all their glory.

At the time, Bob, now bald, had thick, dark hair and appeared to be enjoying a bottle of beer when the picture was taken.

He was dressed in a white polo shirt and a brown suit jacket.

Fans were quick to comment on how handsome they thought Bob was as a younger man, flooding the comments section with compliments.

They wrote praise such as: 'I had the biggest crush on you when I was 14.... mind you, still do!';

'Thats when I had the biggest crush of my life.. And @RealBobMortimer is still my most fave celeb ever. 30 years on [sic].';

The photo's caption was in reference to Bob's shock revelation that, despite being a celebrity, he chooses to do his own dental work.

Bob made the shocking confession on Would I Lie To You? where he explained that, with the exception of complicated procedures such as root canals, he is prepared to be his own dentist.

He said: 'For the past 15 years, I have performed my own dentistry.

'I don’t do extractions. I do fillings, crown replacements… I don’t do implants, I don’t do root canal.'

Bob - who rose to fame in the Nineties as part of the comedy double actVic and Bob - said that he carries out his own dental work withFuji 9, a type of dental cement.

Despite shocking the Would I Lie To You? panel with the admission that he does his own dental work, he said the only thing he struggles with is seeing what he is doing when attending to his teeth.

The resurfaced picture comes after Bob recently opened up about facing his own mortality following triple bypass heart surgery in 2015.

He said on Kathy Burke's podcastWhere There’s A Will, There’s A Wake that he is no longer afraid of dying.

Bob said:'I don’t feel scared about death, I just feel so frustrated and sad to think I won’t see how stories end.

'My children’s story. My wife’s. The football. All the stories going on in the world that you’re going to miss the end of.'
