Roger farmed for over 15 years and most recently was the ownermanager of RJB Properties. As a member of the Republican Party and active in Warren County, Roger ran for the District 73 House of Representatives seat in the 2010 primary. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church of Indianola. Roger was a long distance runner and belonged to the "Go Now" Running Club in Indianola. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, going for a run, and camping at the Iowa State Fair.

Besides his wife and family, Roger's main purpose for living was to serve his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It was his desire that everyone he came in contact with might come to know and love Jesus as he did. He was gentle and wanted to love people with the love that God had shown him. If he could speak now he would want others to know the hope, love and forgiveness that are found in a relationship with Jesus Christ and the joy of spending eternity with him in heaven. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Beulah Billings, and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Nagy.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Billings of Indianola; Son, David (Melissa) Billings of Ankeny; daughters Debbie (Danny) Haug of Milo and Stacy (Drew) Frazer of Boulder, CO; grandchildren: Jasmine, Jackson, Allyson and Will Haug, Ashtyn and Megan Billings, and Dax Frazer, and brother David Billings of Woodridge, IL. Roger will be buried at the National Military Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa. A Memorial Service in Roger's honor will be held at the Indianola Community Church on Saturday, November 27 at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon following the service. Tom was an accomplished musician and classically trained organist, who utilized his gifts by serving many Church Parishes in Des Moines.

He was the accompanist for the Drake Choir, Chamber Choir, and Drake UniversityCommunity Chorus, as well as for students in several voice studios and the Drake Opera Theater. He is survived by his mother, Harriet of Des Moines; sister, Kris Weyant of Truro; niece, Antonia Weyant. She graduated from Keota High School and attended Coe College. Mary married Philip R.

Dunn on October 9, 1941 in Davenport. He died in 1975. She later married Gerald F. McGrath on November 25, 1978 in Marion. He died in 2006.

Mary was the co-owner of Streit Feed Co. of Cedar Rapids and Keota from 1949 to 1960. She later was a school secretary at St. Joseph Grade School in Marion from 1968 until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of St.

Joseph Catholic Church, Hanford Post No. 5 Auxiliary, Alpha XI Delta Sorority and Chapter LI of the P.E.O. Mary enjoyed playing bridge, penny bingo and wintering in Arizona with her husband, Jerry. Memorial donations may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She graduated from Davenport High School and married Delmar Albrecht July 15, 1956, on a very hot summer day. She enjoyed being part of the community and the various organizations that she participated in over the years as they were raising their daughters and fanning. Being a 4-H leader and helping at the fair was a special part of this. Helen particularly liked card clubs, quilting groups, and their holiday bunch. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge where she was a long-time member of the Lydia circle.

She was a very accomplished woman although she did it without drawing attention to herself. She was well-known for her baking ability, particularly her pies, and everyone looked forward to receiving a special hand-made card from her. Helen enjoyed her German heritage and her extended family. Her greatest joy was to teach all of her grandchildren to play cards and to follow them in their sports, music and other activities. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Delmar; daughters, Julie (Brian) Hart, Clive, IA, Denise (John) Wieland, Des Moines, and Theresa (James) Talmon, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Kevin Winslow, Valerin (Ashley) Morris (first great-grandchild expected in March), Joseph Hart, Tim Wieland, Michael Hart, EMMA SANDERS Formerly of rural Deep River Emma Sanders, 86 of Iowa City and formerly of rural Deep River died Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Oaknoll Retirement Residence in Iowa City of Alzheimer's.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home with Pastor George Salnave officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
